I'm qurious to the cost of developing SW:TOR since the studio in Austin, TX was opened in 2005 and production began.

Estimating paying 20-30 employees over the last 5 years, advertising, studio rent, computers, software, and high performance servers.

I'm guessing 20-25 million invested before the game even launches. You'd imagine they better make a good game to see a profit probably after 1 year.

Well i heard a rumor that the game would cost more than the three movies from Lord of the rings together. Which is over 100m.

I believe nobody except these guys could actually help you out... Though, they would still ask the question and get no answer unless one of the staff starts talking.

Don't look at this like an answer, but look at this like a redirection towards a forum where you can discuss it further with fellow members.
