World of warcraft: How do you cancel Heroic Strike in a macro in?

Sometimes when I go to defensive stance with my macro that swaps to sword and board, it wont' swap on the sword and board and says I can't do that now.

I found out that if I have heroic strike queued up it won't let me switch weapons, is there any way to drop heroic strike in a macro? I tried /cancelaura heroic strike, which works for other things that provide a buff icon, but heroic strike doesn't.

I think /stopattack is maybe the right command. Give it a try.

/stopattack makes your character stop attacking at all. That's not what the author asked for.

But heroic strike is a on-next-attack. So /stopattack will stop next attack and thus heroic strike. You can just add /startattack after switching the sword to continue.
